The anchor alarm shipped first. Everything below joined it, most recent first.
September 2026
- BoatGPT. Ask anything about boats, gear and seamanship. Upload the manuals that came with your boat, or pick a make and model from the catalogue, and every answer drawn from a manual cites the page. Attach a photo when it is easier to show than describe.
- Anchorages. Rate the place you lay in, leave a note for the next boat and keep it as a bookmark. Ratings and notes appear without names.
- Anchor zones. Besides the radius, a Radius Pro mode with a swing circle and a wider sector toward open water, and an Area mode, a rotatable rectangle for boats tied up. Drag the handles on the map to reshape any of them.
- Twelve languages. German, Greek, Spanish, French, Croatian, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese and Russian join English and Turkish.
- Sign in with Apple, next to Google and the one time code by email.
- Delete your account from Settings, with everything it holds on our servers.
July 2026
- A new look. Daylight and Midnight themes that switch at local sunset, and a home screen that shows the anchor, the next 24 hours of wind, I’m OK and Trips at a glance.
- Saved routes. Keep a planned route, rename it and open it again later.
June 2026
- I’m OK for the watcher ashore. A paired phone sees every check-in as a point on the map, and where the phone went after an alarm.
April and May 2026
- Marine weather. Wind, gusts, waves and temperature by the hour, with ECMWF, GFS and ICON side by side and a live wind map over the chart.
- Trips. Record a cruise with distance, duration, average and top speed, and the track on the map. Recording pauses at anchor and resumes when you move.
- Offline maps. Download the seas you sail and keep the chart without signal.
- The first extra languages, and the settings to go with them: metres or feet, standard or satellite map.
February 2026
- AI route planner. Set start and end, add stops, pick sail or motor and your speed. Ask for help and it reads the forecast on each leg and points out sheltered bays along the way.
